Under the guidance of Tammie Powell, your vivacious and multilingual travel guru, you'll uncover the best of Greece—enchanting landscapes, rich heritage ready for exploration. Your trip includes economy return airfares (up to $2500). Hotels in stunning locations—5 nights in Crete, 4 nights in Milos, 3 nights in Syros, 4 nights in Naxos, 4 nights Santorini = Total of 20 hotel nights. Taxes, transfers from the airport or port to hotels, all ferries or high-speed boat travel between islands, any meals and day trips that have been specified in the itinerary.

  • Limited time inclusions

Prices are broken in to three groups. All prices include economy return airfares in forward zone seats up to the cost of $2500 (please enquire further if you want business class or premium economy seat prices, specific airlines, deviations, extensions or stopovers), taxes, transfers on each island to hotels from the airport or port, all ferries and high-speed boat travel between islands, any meals and day trips that have been specified in the above itinerary. The difference in the prices below reflect the hotels only. The Greek Islands do not have big hotel-style resorts, they have boutique hotels. All hotels will be within a very short walking distance from each other depending on the category you choose. Most rooms are twin or triple rooms so groups of 4 will likely be broken in to two twin rooms and groups of 5 will likely be in a twin and a triple room. Where family rooms are available they will be booked in as one apartment/room.

Hotels in stunning locations—5 nights in Crete, 3 nights in Santorini, 4 nights in Milos, 4 nights in Syros, 4 nights in Naxos = Total of 20 hotel nights.

If adverse weather or other circumstances prevent access to any island it may be interchanged with nearby islands. This situation would be discussed at length with the group.

A $1000 deposit per person is required to hold your space on the tour. This is an incredibly unique tour so spaces are very limited.

    Maximum 40 people per tour.

 Itinerary

  • Arrive in Crete, the BIGGEST island in the Mediterranean!!

Transfer from the airport to Koutouloufari. Get settled in your hotel and recover from the long journey with a local yiros or a fabulous Greek salad, some Ouzo and cocktails at a beautiful jazz bar in picturesque Koutouloufari. The food in Greece is probably the BEST food you can find in the world.

  • Explore Koutoulouari and Hersonnissos or a free day by the pool.

Wind around the gorgeous 3 villages and walk between Koutouloufari, Piskopiano and Ano Hersonnisos. Get lost in the tiny alleyways and immerse yourself in this beautiful country. This is a more relaxed day to recover from the flight and get ready for the whole trip. Welcome dinner (included in tour cost) at a fabulous local taverna with amazing views of the sea.

  • Heraklion and Palace of Knossos.

An optional day trip to the Palace of Knossos in Heraklion. Bus from Koutouloufari to the archaeological site (this day trip is included in the tour cost). This is a half day tour with an audio guide.

The Palace of Knossos is an important archaeological site in the Crete. The Minoan palace was built around 2000BC, a UNESCO world heritage site and an incredible arc of history. You will have an audio guide to help navigate the ruins. If you do not want to participate in the day tour you are welcome to spend more time shopping, by the pool or at one of the many famous beaches the island has to offer.

  • Day trip to Chania or Samaria Gorge.

A highly recommended and amazing day trip to beautiful Chania. For the very fit - hike the spectacular Samaria Gorge (not included in the tour price). Well worth the visit for the scenic views.

  • Elounda and Spinalonga.

An optional full day tour to the beautiful town of Elounda and the deserted leper colony of Spinalonga. To learn more about this fascinating place I highly recommed reading the fiction book - The Island by Victoria Hislop.

  • Ferry to Milos.

A boat trip to Milos. A volcanic Greek island just North of the Sea of Crete in the Aegean. A small island with the beautiful port of Adamantas being our destination. The Venus De Milo was found on Milos and there are many beautiful spots to explore. The different villages are easily accessible by bus from Adamantas.

Settle into the hotel and explore the beautiful port area. Milos is an exceptional hidden gem of an island and one that many people miss.

  • Adamantas or explore?

There are so many options in Milos. The bus network can easily take you to visit Sarakiniko or the old town of Plaka. Walk down from Plaka to the amazing seaside village of Klima or see the beautiful village of Trypiti.

  • An all-inclusive full day boat cruise with snorkelling and lunch.

Visit Kleftiko and the South coast which is only accessible by boat. This tour is included in the tour cost. These beaches are the famous lunar ‘moon’ type beaches. There are caves to swim through and a beautiful brunch and lunch on board the boat. Snorkelling equipment and noodles for swimming are available.

  • Anything you have missed?

Use your day in Milos to see anything you have missed or there is an option to get a boat to nearby Kimolos for the day which is a beautiful island to explore and is very close to Milos.

  • Ferry to Syros.

Arrive in Syros and walk to the hotel. An excellent location on the square. Syros is the capital of the Cyclades and has a much more neoclassical French and Italian vibe. A lively and fabulous capital. Ermoupoli is the main port and you can spend all three days there or head further afield.

  • Syros swimming and Ano Syros.

Ermoupoli does not have a beach but you can plunge into the beautiful deep and salty sea off the pontoon or in the swimming areas. Snorkel around and float anywhere you like. Ano Syros is the old town and is stunning in the evening for a stroll and dinner. Visit the three opposing churches that dominate the skyline. Walk between them through all the steps or visit each individually.

  • Head out further to Kini or Ono.

You can jump in a bus or taxi to delightful Kini which is a beach town and a fabulous day out. Perhaps head to the popular Ono - a set up beach with food, drinks and sunbeds. Closer again in Ermoupoli is Ciel which is highly recommended for food and a great sunset view.

  • Highspeed boat to Naxos.

Settle into the hotel. Stroll down to Vammos on Saint George beach where you can hire sunbeds or have lunch and cocktails before heading to our special Greek night dinner at Scirocco (included in tour cost). Located on the square this restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Naxos. The local food is incredible and this will be a special night. After dinner have a stroll around the marina and shops or grab a rolled ice cream.

  • Day trip off Naxos to the lesser Cyclades.

Optional day trip to Koufonisia. Leave Naxos port early and arrive in Koufonisia. Koufonisia has one of the best beaches in the world and it will not disappoint. Spend the day meandering around Koufonisia and swimming. An evening boat back to Naxos.

  • Beach Time!!

A wonderful day to spend sauntering the streets of old town Naxos. Walk up to the church on the hill or relax on a sunbed on Saint George beach. Do some shopping or exploring of many of the wonderful things in Chora or visit the castle and museum. Pack a picnic for a trip up to the Portara at sunset; the perfect end to the day. Stop on the way back for some waffles or cocktails at the port.

  • Relaxing in Naxos.

Spend the day on the beach or head around to the water sport windsurfing zone. There are incredible beaches further afield including Prokopios. Apollonas and Plaka which are all worth a visit.

The inland villages of Aperianthos and Filoti are absolutely unmissable traditional villages. They have amazing food and shops and local atmosphere. A must do at some point on your visit to Naxos.

  • Ferry to Santorini.

Arrive in stunning Megalochori to the beautiful hotel on the caldera. Welcome drinks and fruit on arrival. Explore the surrounding area and watch the sun set from your pool. Megalochori is a beautiful village with many things on offer. It is close to Thira and Oia but more traditional and without the massive crowds.

  • A relaxing day in Santorini.

Explore Thira and all its endless gold shops and restaurants on offer and then pack a picnic and a bottle of wine and head up to Oia for the famous Santorini sunset on the wall overlooking one of the most iconic views in the world. Or take it easy by the pool and watch the sunset from there with a champagne.

  • Optional day trip (not included in the tour cost).

This tour goes around the Santorini Caldera, to the volcano, stopping at the hot springs for a swim and Thirassia. Lunch is included in this tour also. Please note the hot sulpher springs can ruin/discolour bathers.

You may choose to wander the streets of Megalochori and visit the local tavernas and art galleries. There are local cooking classes and a local wood carving workshop available.

  • Beaches of Santorini.

The last full day on the islands. Visit the black beach of Perissa or the red beach which is near Akrotiri. The beaches are coloured due to the sulpher and volcanic activity. You can visit Akrotiri Archaeological site which is one of the most important sites in the Aegean.

Get the cable car down to sea level and for a funny local treat have a hilarious donkey ride back up to Thira. Shop, eat, swim and enjoy the best views in the world for the last day.

  • Time to say Goodbye!!

If you are continuing on your journey, then enjoy some more of the endless wonders Europe has to offer.

Times and airports can vary. The most suitable options of flights for your group will be discussed when booking.
